Process to Disable Ledger Code in Marg Books

OVERVIEW OF LEDGER CODE IN MARG BOOKS

• A ledger code basically consisting of alpha-numeric characters which are used for easy & quick identification of the ledgers.

• Ledger code option of Marg books also facilitates the user to keep record of the ledgers on the basis of ledger code and to view the reports as well.

PROCESS TO ENABLE LEDGER CODE IN MARG BOOKS

• Go to Master >> Accounts Master >> Ledger.

• A 'Ledger Master' window will appear.

• Click on 'Create' tab.

• Then a ‘Create Ledger’ window will appear.

• Click on ‘Settings’ icon.

• In ‘Code Required ?’ option, the user will select the options as per the requirement.

1. Only Transaction: Select if the user needs to enable ledger code only for transactions.

2. Report & Transaction: Select if the user needs to enable ledger code in both transaction and Reporting.

• Suppose select 'Only Transaction'.

• Then press ESC key to save the changes.

After following the above steps, an Alternative Code option will get enabled in which the user can enter the code for the ledger as per the requirement.

PROCESS TO DISABLE LEDGER CODE IN MARG BOOKS

• Go to Master >> Accounts Master >> Ledger.

• A 'Ledger Master' window will appear.

• Click on 'Create' tab.

• Then a ‘Create Ledger’ window will appear.

• Click on ‘Settings’ icon.

• In ‘Code Required ?’ option, the user will select 'No'.

• Then press ESC key to save the changes.

After following the above steps, an Alternative Code (Ledger code) option will get disabled from the ledger window.
