Overview of Item Discount in Marg Books

OVERVIEW OF ITEM DISCOUNT IN MARG BOOKS

• The item discount refers to an amount or percentage deducted from the normal selling price of a single product.

• In Marg Books, the user can easily set item wise discount as per the requirement which is auto picked by the software at the time of billing.

PROCESS TO SET ITEM WISE DISCOUNT IN MARG BOOKS

• Go to Master >> Inventory Master >> Item Master.

• An 'Item List' window will appear.

• In order to mention discount in an item, the user will click on ‘edit’ icon against that particular item for which the discount needs to be mentioned.

• Suppose select '4 All Cap'.

• A 'Modify Item' window will appear.

• Now the user needs to activate an additional information of the item by ticking the checkbox in front of the option.

• In 'Discount' option, the user will select 'Applicable'.

• In 'Item Disc%' option, the user will mention the percentage(%) of the item discount.

• And in 'Max Disc%' option, the user will mention the Maximum percentage(%) of the item discount.

• Suppose mention item discount '10%'.

• Then click on 'Update' to save the changes.

After following the above steps, the software will automatically pick the item discount( which is being mentioned in the item master) at the time of billing.
