If the stock level of a particular item is minimized to a point where it needs to be restored or you want to order again for that item this is called Re-order.

Benefits of Re-order Management:

  1. Less manual work
  2. Time-saving
  3. Accuracy of stock
  4. Efficiently manage the availability of stock
  5. Better customer relationship/satisfaction level
  6. Reduces the chance of Over-Capitalization

With the help of Marg Books the user can easily generate the Re-order on the basis of four formulas i.e. Sale Basis, Minimum Basis, Shortage Basis, Last Sale Basis. So in this article we’ll discuss about ‘Sale Basis’.

PROCESS TO GENERATE RE-ORDER ON SALE BASIS FORMULA IN MARG BOOK

Sale Basis formula of Marg Books works on the Total Quantity of the item and Sold Quantity of the selected item.

Hence, formula for generating re-order on Sale Basis is as follows:

Sale Basis formula = Total Quantity-Sale Qty (T&C apply)

Terms & Conditions of Sale basis Formula:

  Item Name

  Total Quantity

 Sold Quantity

 Current Stock (left Over)

  Conclusion

Remark

   Condition 1

Omez

100

40

60

  Current Stock > Sold Qty

   Re-order will not generate

Condition 2

Omez

100

60

40

Current Stock < Sold Qty

Re-order will generate

So it is concluded that software will only generate the re-order under Sale basis formula when the Current Stock < Sold Qty.

Scenario: An item 'Omez' has total stock of 100 pcs and sold 60 pcs out of it, and the left over quantity is 40 PCS so let's see for how many quantities the software will generate the re-order?

  • For this, Go to Reports.

  • A ‘Combined Reports’ window will appear.
  • The user will select ‘Inventory Report’.

  • Now select ‘Re-order’.

  • A ‘Re-Order’ window will appear.
  • The user will click on ‘Settings’ Icon.

  • Now in ‘Re-order Based on’, the user will select ‘Sales Bases’.

  • Order by: The user will select the basis on which the re-order needs to be generated.

a. Company wise: If the re-order needs to be generated on the basis of item’s company then select it from the dropdown.

b. Supplier wise: If the re-order needs to be generated on the basis of item’s supplier then select it from the dropdown.

Suppose select ‘Company Wise’.

  • A ‘Select Agency’ window will appear.
  • The user will select the agency as per the requirement by placing a check-mark on it.

  • Item: Now the user will select whether the re-order needs to be generated of ‘all items’ or of only ‘Sold items’.
  • Suppose select ‘All’.

  • Re-order Formula: 7*1 (by default) in which ‘7’ means that for how many days from last the software will consider the sales of a product.

  • And ‘1’ means for that how many times of the ordering Quantity, the software will generate the re-order.

  • Re-order days for: The user will mention that after how many days the software will generate the re-order of the items.

After following the above steps the software will generate the re-order of the items falling under Sale basis Criteria of Re-order.

As the software has generated the re-order for the item 'Omez' of '20' PCS (60-40).

  • Now the user will click on 'Place Order'.

Thereafter the order will get placed and the user can easily share the generated order via whats app or mail.
