Overview of Trial Balance in MargBooks

  • A 'Trial Balance' is a list of all the nominal/general ledger accounts contained in the ledger of a business. This contains the name and value of the nominal ledger account. The value could show either a debit balance or a credit balance.
  • With the help of this option in Marg Books the user can enable or disable the opening balance in Trial balance report as per the requirement.

 

Process to Enable Opening Balance in Trial Balance in MargBooks

  • Go to 'Reports'.

  • User will click on 'Trial Balance'.

  • The user will view 'Trial Balance' report.
  • Click on ‘Configuration’ button.

  • In ‘Show Opening Balance’ optionthe user will select 'Yes'.

  • Press 'ESC' key to save the changes.

After following the above steps, opening balance will get displayed in the trial balance.

Process to Disable Opening Balance From the Trial Balance in MargBooks

  • Go to 'Reports'.

  • User will click on 'Trial Balance'.

  • A 'Trial Balance' window will appear.
  • Click on ‘Configuration’ button.

  • In ‘Show Opening Balance’ optionthe user will select 'No'.

  • Press 'ESC' key to save the changes.

After following the above steps, opening balance column will get disabled from the trial balance.
