Overview of Contra Voucher in Margbooks

Contra Voucher is used to record transactions between Cash and Bank accounts, such as Cash Deposits, Cash Withdrawals, and Transfers between Bank Accounts.

Process to Create Contra Entry in Retail Pharmacy

• Go to Accounting Transactions > Contra.

• A ‘Contra Voucher List’ window will appear.
• Click on ‘Create’ or Press "F2"

• A ‘Contra Voucher’ window will appear.
• Now, Select the Contra Transaction Date.

• The User will select Dr/Cr as per their requirement.

• From ‘Ledger Master’ window, select the Bank Ledger from which the amount is withdrawn or Select Cash Ledger if cash is deposited in the Bank.
• Suppose select ‘ICICI Bank’ in Credit side i.e. Cash is withdrawn from the Bank.

• Select the Instrument Type through which Cash is withdrawn i.e. Cheque, D.D., RTGS or NEFT.
• Suppose we select 'Cheque'.

• Mention the Instrument number as per the requirement.

• Enter the amount. Press ‘Enter’.

• Now in Debit Side, the user will select Cash ledger from ‘Ledger Master’ Window.

• In the Narration Field User can mention the Narration, if Required

• Click the 'Save' button to save the Contra Voucher or Press 'F10'.

• A ‘Contra Voucher Saved Successfully’ message will appear.

After following the above steps, the user can successfully create a Contra Voucher in Retail Pharmacy Setup in Margbooks.
