Overview of Centralized Items in MargBooks

  • In MargBooks, Centralized Items is a feature designed specifically for Pharma and Chemist businesses. This feature helps users access and manage standardized medicine and item data in a centralized manner, reducing manual item creation efforts and improving billing accuracy.
  • With this functionality, item details are automatically fetched from the PharmaNxt – Free Drug Helpline database, where medicine information is already centralized and maintained. This enables users to quickly select and use predefined item details such as item name, packing, manufacturer, composition, and other related information while creating inventory records.
  • The Centralized Items feature helps to:
  1. Reduce manual data entry
  2. Improve inventory accuracy
  3. Maintain standardized medicine records
  4. Save time during item creation
  5. Simplify inventory management for pharma businesses
  • This feature is applicable only for Pharma and Chemist business setups in MargBooks.

Note:- If the user imports a purchase file(Excel,PDF,CSV) . And item name matches the Centralized Item available in the system, the item will be mapped automatically. This eliminates the need for manual item mapping, making the import process faster, easier, and more accurate in MargBooks.

Process to Enable Centralized Items in MargBooks

  • Click on the ‘Settings’ Icon.

  • In 'Control Room' option, the user will click on ‘Configure’ button.

  • The user will search ‘Centralized items’.

  • In 'Centralized Items' option, the user will select 'Yes'. And Press 'ESC' key .

  • Click on 'Save' button to save the changes.

  • Click on 'OK' button.

Process to Use Centralized Items in MargBooks

  • Go to Purchase > Bill > Create/F2.

  • User will press ‘Enter’ key in the ‘Product’ column.

  • The user will be able to view that the total number of items is currently '0'.

  • The user will search required item by entering the item name in the 'Search' bar.

  • The user can view multiple centralized items displayed in MargBooks based on the searched item.

  • User will select the required item from the centralized item list. And press 'Enter' key.

  • User will enter all item details as per the requirement and click on the 'Save' button.

After following the above steps, the user can easily save and manage items efficiently using the Centralized Items feature in MargBooks.
