Process to Create Item in the Retail Pharmacy Setup in MargBooks

• Go to Master > Inventory Master.

• User will click on 'Item' or '+'sign.

• Click on 'Create' button or press 'F2' key.

• User will enter the item name in the Product field and press 'Enter' key.

• Packing:- Specify the item's packing details, if applicable.
• Unit 1st:- Select the primary unit of measurement for the item (e.g., TAB, PCS, Box, Kg, Ltr).
• Unit-2:- Select the secondary unit of measurement used for stock conversion (e.g., Strip, Box, Carton).
• Conversion:- Enter the conversion value between the primary and secondary units (e.g., 1 Strip = 10 Tablets).
• Unit in Decimal:- Choose Yes or No to allow or restrict decimal quantities during transactions.
• HSN/SAC:- Enter the applicable HSN/SAC code for GST compliance.
• Tax Category:- Select the appropriate tax category to apply the correct GST rate to the item.
• Company:- Select the company or brand associated with the item.
• Salt:- Enter or select the medicine's active ingredient(s) or composition associated with the item.

Note: If the item is created as a Multi Unit item, the user must specify the Conversion value. Otherwise, the user can enable or disable the Unit in Decimal option if required. 

• M.R.P.:- Enter the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of the item.
• Purchase Rate:- Enter the purchase rate of the item.
• Cost:- Enter the cost price of the item for stock valuation.
• S.Rate:- Enter the selling rate of the item.
• Narcotics:- Select Yes or No to specify whether the item is a narcotic drug.
• Schedule H:- Select Yes or No if the item belongs to the Schedule H list.
• Schedule H1:- Select Yes or No if the item belongs to the Schedule H1 list.
• Schedule Drug:- Select the required schedule drug option, if applicable.
• Presc. Required:- Select Yes or No to specify whether a prescription is required for the item.
• Storage Type:- Select the required storage type for the item (e.g., Normal, Cold Storage, etc.).
• Color Type:- Select the required color type for the item.
• TB Item:- Select the required option for the item, such as Normal, TB, or Tramadol.

• User can merge the Advanced Info fields into concise.
• Discount:- Configure the discount applicability, item discount percentage, and maximum discount percentage for the item.
• Quantity:- Define the minimum quantity, maximum quantity, reorder days, opening stock, and reorder quantity for effective inventory management.
• Other Info:- Set the minimum margin percentage, prohibited status, visibility, manufacturer (MFR) name, and upload an item image, if required.

Note: In MargBooks, users can quickly create an item by filling in only the mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk (*) and clicking the Save button.

• User will click on 'Save' button.

• A confirmation message will appear asking whether you want to add the item's opening stock.
• User will click Yes to add the opening stock.

• User will enter the batch-wise opening stock details, such as Batch, Quantity, M.R.P., Purchase Rate, Cost per Unit, Selling Rate, and Expiry Date, then click the 'Save' button.

After following the above steps, the user can easily create an item in the Retail Pharmacy Setup in MargBooks.
