• In MargBooks, the Bill Value – Free/Discount scheme allows businesses to create promotional offers or discounts based on the total value of a customer’s bill rather than individual items. Users can set the scheme to provide a free item, a discount, or both when the bill reaches a specific value. Discounts can be applied either as a percentage of the bill or as a fixed amount, and the scheme can include multiple tiers with different thresholds and offers. The scheme does not load automatically; the user must click on “Load Scheme” to apply it. Once the scheme is loaded, MargBooks applies the discount or free items during billing, ensuring promotions are correctly applied. This feature helps streamline billing, enhances promotional management, and ensures customers receive the benefits of the scheme efficiently.

Process to Create Bill Value – Free/Discount Scheme in MargBooks

• Go to Master > Sales Promotions.

• Click on 'Create' button or press 'F2' key.

• User will mention ' Scheme Name' as per requirement.
• Select 'Bill Value - Free/Discount' from the Scheme Type dropdown.
• Specify the scheme applicability date range, along with the applicable time, as per the scheme requirements.
• The user will define the scheme applicability “Basis” as per requirements.
• Select Offer Type and specify the discount or free item as per the scheme requirement.
• Bill value schemes are applied only to the final bill value. The following offer types can be applied:
  • Free Item
  • Discount %
  • Discounted Amount

• The user can view that the 'Free Item' offer type is applied when the bill value reaches the defined amount.
• User will Click on 'Load Scheme' button.

• The user can view the Applicable Scheme window.
• Any scheme applicable to the bill is indicated with a green check button.
• The user can click the green action button to apply the selected scheme to the bill.

• User can view a confirmation message 'Scheme Free Item Applied!' is displayed.
• The corresponding free quantity is automatically added to the sale bill.

• User can view on this screen bill value matches the Discount % offer type.
• Click on 'Load Scheme'. Then, as per the scheme creation, if the bill value is between 1,500 and 2,500, a 15% discount will be applied in the sale bill.
• User will click on 'Green Action' button to apply the scheme to the sale bill.

• User can view on this screen bill value matches the Discounted Amount offer type, click on 'Load Scheme'.
• Then, click the green Action button to apply the scheme.
• As per the scheme creation, when the bill value is greater than or equal to 3,000, a discount amount of Rs. 500 is applied in the sale bill.

After following the above steps, the user can easily create a Bill Value – Free/Discount scheme in MargBooks.
