Overview to Create Leave Master in MargHR

In Marg HR, the user can create a Leave Master to define various types of leaves, such as casual, sick, earned, or unpaid. This helps in managing employee leave policies efficiently, maintaining accurate leave records, ensuring transparency, simplifying payroll processing, and improving overall HR operations and compliance.

Process to Create Leave Master in MargHR

  • Go to Master > Organization > Leave Type.

  • Click on Create/F2 button.

The user will enter the details as per the requirement.

Basic Details

a. Leave Name: The user will enter the leave type (e.g., Casual Leave, Sick Leave) as per the requirement.

b. Formal Name: The user will enter the short or abbreviated name for internal reference.

c. Pay Type: Select whether the leave is paid, unpaid, or partially paid.

d. Due Start From: Specify the start date from which leave begins to accumulate.

e. Avail Start From: Define the date from which the employee is allowed to avail of the leave.

f. Description: Add a brief explanation or note about the leave type.

Calculation Section

a. Calculation Type: The user will choose how the leave is calculated (e.g., Calculated or Fixed).

b. No. of Working Days: Enter the number of working days considered for leave calculation.

c. Leave Credit: Define how much leave is credited (e.g., 1 day per month).

d. No. of Leave: The user will enter the total number of leaves allowed.

e. Per Month: The user will enter the frequency of leave credit (per month or other intervals).

f. Applicable only if Minimum Working Days in a Month: The user will enter the required number of working days, and leave will apply only if the employee works the specified minimum days in a month.

Treatment of Balance Leave at the End of Year

a. At Month End: The user will choose what happens to unused leave at month-end (e.g., Carry Forward - C/F) as per the requirement.

b. At Year End: The user will choose what happens to unused leave at year-end (e.g., Carry      Forward All, Lapse, Encashment).

d. Value Box (next to Year End): Define how many leaves to carry forward or encash.

Applicability Section:

a. Gender: The user will choose whether the leave is applicable to all, Male, or Female employees.

b. Marital Status: The user will select whether it applies to Married, Unmarried, or both.

c. Applicable For: The user will choose whether the leave is applicable to all, ESIC, or Non-ESIC employees as per the requirement.

d. Department: The user will select the department or sub-department this leave applies.

e. Designation: The user will select the department for which the leave will be applicable, as per the requirement.

f. Employee Type: Select which type(s) of employees this leave is applicable to (e.g., Permanent, Contractual).

Now, the user will click on 'Save' button.

After following the above steps, the user can view that the leave has been successfully created in MargHR.
