How to Design Barcode in Marg Books ?

  • Firstly, click on 'Utilities & Tools'.

  • Click on 'Barcode Template'.

  • To design barcode, the user will click on 'Create' button or press 'F2' key.

  • In 'Paper Type' option, the user will select the paper type on which the barcode needs to be printed i.e. A3, A4, etc.
  • Suppose select 'Custom'.

  • The user will select the 'Unit of Measurement' as per the requirements.

  • The user will enter 'Width and Height' of the paper as per the requirement.

In 'Label Setup', the user will enter the details as follows:

a. Column: Enter 'Label Column'.

b. Row: Enter 'Label Row'.

c. V Space: Enter 'Measurement of Vertical Space' that needs to be maintained after each label on the page.

d. Width: Enter 'Label Width'.

e. Height: Enter 'Label Height'.

f. H Space: Enter 'Measurement of Horizontal Space' that needs to be maintained after each label on the page.

  • The user can view the 'Preview' on the right side.

  • The user will set the 'Page Margins' as per the requirement.

Note: These settings mentioned here need to be applied to the barcode printer's page settings as well.

  • When the user select the 'Custom Barcode Design', the 'Barcode Tender' option must be ticked as mandatory.

  • Click on 'Barcode Settings' section.

  • The user will enter 'Height & Width' of the barcode as per the requirement.

  • If the user wants only the barcode to be printed on the label, they should place a check mark on this option. Otherwise, the software will also print the barcode number on the label.
  • Suppose the user needs to print the barcode along with its number; they should leave the checkbox blank.

  • In 'Barcode Format', the user will select the format of barcode as per the requirement i.e. Q.R code, code 128 etc.

  • Click on 'Ok' button.

  • The user can view the 'Designed Barcode' will get displayed.

  • If the user needs to add details to the barcode, they can do so by ticking the options provided on the right side, categorized as follows: Company Details, Item Details, Batch Details, and Supplier Details.

  • If the user needs to print details above the barcode, they should select all the details and press 'Ctrl+X' key.

  • Then paste the copied text into the designated space above by pressing 'Ctrl+V' key.

  • The user can customize the format using the formatting options provided above as well.

  • Click on 'Preview' button to view designed barcode preview.

  • Now, enter 'Barcode Format' name as per the requirement.
  • Then, click on 'Save' button.

After following the above steps, the user can view the Barcode Format will get Designed in Marg Books.
