Process of Sales Type in Marg ERP Software 

OVERVIEW/INTRODUCTION TO SALES TYPE  IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

• Sales Type is the classification of sales as per the tax system applicable to that sale, like Local or Central and percentage of sales tax charged.

• It creates Sales Type in which the user can set one fix tax% due to which there will be no need to enter tax on each item one by one individually.

• This saves the user’s time and tax will also get matched altogether and there will be no need to update the items as Sales Type works on Bill.

PROCESS OF SALES TYPE IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE 

• Firstly, Go to Masters > Ledger Master > Sale > New Sale.

• A Sales Type window will be displayed on the screen.

• Sales Type: As Sales are of Two types, Central and Local. The user will select accordingly the type. For now, We will take “Local”.

• SGST: In SGST, the user will enter the tax percentage that is required to be charged. Suppose, mention 5%. Then, press enter key.

• GST: After mentioning the tax percentage, the software will automatically pick GST percentage. Press Enter key.

• Shortcut Name: This is also automatically picked up by the software. If in case the user wants to change the Shortcut name, then it can be changed accordingly.

• Sale Under: In Sale Group, a new window of Under Sale Group will be displayed on the screen. Now to create Sales Type for Local, then choose ‘Local Sales’. Press Enter.

• Sale Ledger Name: This will also be picked up automatically by the software.

• SGST Under: When the user will press enter, the software would automatically pick SGST Under.

• SGST Ledger: Again, press enter. SGST Ledger will be picked up automatically by the software.

• GST Under: Press enter. This would be automatically picked up by the software.

• GST Ledger: Press enter. This would be automatically picked up by the software.

• S.T. Form: There are a few kinds of forms that are applicable & placed when the goods are imported. Such forms are government required. In S.T. Form, the user can choose the type of form.

To create a new form, the user can press F2 key and in case of Sale Local, the user can leave this option blank. Then press Accept.

If the user wants that the software should ask type at the type of sale entry if the type is for central or local party and the amount of tax is levied on it. Then,

• Go to Masters > Marg Setups >> Control Room.

• Then search ‘Ask Sales Type ’.

• Set this option to ‘A’ if the user wants the software to ask about the party type that is local or central.

• Click on ‘Yes’ to save changes.

Effect on Sales Type  in Marg ERP Software

Go to Transactions > Sale > Bill.

•  Select Ledger from the Ledger window.

• Now the cursor would wait on Type field.

• As the user would press space key, a window of Sales Type  will be displayed on the screen.

• Select the tax percentage that the user wants to charge. The tax percentage that was created can be viewed here

• Now, the user would choose according to the party type. Suppose, the user chooses Local party, then select this.

• The user would now select the item. Suppose, he selects Amifru 40. On which tax is 12%.

• Then Press enter. An alert window of Product% not matched will be displayed. Press okay

• Now the user can see that 12% tax is converted into 10% i.e. 5% for SGST and 5% for GST.

Click on enter to save.
