INTRODUCTION OF GST RATES FOR GOODS

The government has proposed a 4-tier tax structure for all goods and services under the slabs- 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%. After the recent revision of GST rates, these are the commodities that fall under the four tax slabs along with those that do not attract any tax.

PROCESS TO SET GST SLAB RATE IN CONTROL ROOM SETUP

  • Firstly, Go to Masters >> Marg Setups >> Control Room. Press Enter.

  • Control Room window will appear.
  • The user will select ‘Search in all’. Press Enter.

  • Controls window will appear in which the user will Search “Fix Tax”.
  • Now click on ‘Accept’.

  • Fix Tax window will appear.
  • In 'Fix GST % for Local Sales/Purchase' option, the user will select 'Y'.
  • Then mention the GST Rate 0, 5, 12 ,18 ,28 as per the requirement.

  • The user will now press Esc key twice.

  • Now click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.

After following the above steps, the user can set the GST Rate in control room setup.

PROCESS TO SET GST SLAB RATE IN PAGE SETTING

  • Firstly, Go to Masters > Marg Setups > Self FormatPress Enter.

  • Self Format dialog box will appear. Enter the Password.

  • Now, a Formats window will appear.
  • The user will select Invoice Format- GUIPress Enter.

  • An Invoice Format- GUI window will appear.
  • In ‘Format’enter the name of the format to fix GST Slab Rate.
  • Suppose, Enter “AC”. Press Enter.

  • The user will now select ‘Page Settings’Press Enter.

  • Page setup window will appear.
  • Click on 'Next' button.

  • An Invoice format window will appear. Search "Tax".
  • Now click on 'Accept'.

  • Tax window will appear.
  • In 'Print variables for GST %' option, the user will mention the GST Slab Rate same as control room.

The user will now keep pressing Esc key to save the changes.
