How to Ban user to not Add Stock by pressing Insert Key in Marg Software?

In Marg Software, the user can feed the current stock by pressing 'Insert' key on the item list. But if the user doesn't need to allow their operators then this can be done easily:

In order to Ban user for Adding Stock by 'Insert' key, the user needs to follow the below steps:

  • Firstly, Go to Masters > Marg Setups > Control Room.


  • A 'Control Room' window will appear.
  • The user will select ‘Search in all’. 

  • A 'Controls' window will appear in which the user will Search 'Negative'.
  • Click on ‘Accept’.

  • A 'Negative' window will appear.
  • In 'Stock Negative allowed Yes/No/Store/Item wise-I/i' option, the user will select 'N'.

  • The user will now press 'ESC' key twice.

  • Now click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.

  • Now, Go to Masters > Passwords & Powers > Operator's.

  • A 'Password & Authority' window will appear.
  • Select the user to make the desired changes. Press 'Enter' key.

  • A 'Powers' window will appear in which the user will select ‘Search In All’.

  • A 'Powers' window will appear in which the user will search 'Negative' .
  • Click on ‘Accept’.

  • A 'Negative' window will appear.
  • In 'Edit Batch Closing Stock on Insert key' option, the user will select 'N'.

  • The user will now press 'ESC' key.

  • Again press 'ESC' key and then click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.

  • A 'Powers Change' POP-UP will appear in which the user will press 'ESC' key.

  • Again Press 'ESC' key and then click on ‘Yes’.

  • Now in order to Re- login, the user will press 'Ctrl + U' key on the main screen of the software. 

  • A 'Change User' window will appear in which the user will enter the User ID and Password.

  • A 'Change User' window will appear in which the user will press 'ESC' Key.

After following the above steps, the user can view that the software is not allowing to Insert Current Stock of the items by pressing 'Insert' key for the user.
