Overview of Financial Year Backup in Marg ERP Software

• In Marg ERP Software, the security of data is as important as its accuracy while using accounting software. It is essential to ensure that business data remains secure for the smooth functioning of the organization. In some situations, data may get corrupted but if a backup is available, it can be restored easily without interrupting work. With the help of this option, users can send the financial year backup through email.

Process to Send Financial Year Backup on Gmail in Marg ERP Software

• Firstly, click on the 'Exit' button on the Main screen of the software.

• The user will select the Company for which the financial year backup needs to send on gmail.
• Suppose select 'Marg ERP Limited' and press 'F8' key or 'Enter' key on the selected company.

• The user will select 'Backup of financial Year'.

• The user will select the financial year for which the backup needs to be sent to Gmail.
• Suppose select 2026-2027 and press 'Enter' key.

• In 'E-Mail Backup' option, the user will select 'Change'.

The user will enter the details as per the requirement.

1. Backup on E-Mail: Enter the email ID on which the backup needs to be sent.

2. Sender E-mail ID: The user will enter the email ID from which the backup needs to be sent.

3. Password: The user will enter the password generated through the App Password option in Gmail

• Now, to generate an App Password, the user needs to log in to the Gmail account by entering the Email ID and click on 'Next' button.

• Enter the password and click on 'Next' button.

• From the right side of the Gmail account, click on the profile (alphabet) icon and click on 'Manage your Google Account'.

• Click on the 'Security' tab.

• Now, click on '2-Step Verification' option.

• The user will click 'Turn on 2-Step Verification' button.

• Then user will enter the mobile number and click on 'Next' tab.

• The user will click on the App password icon (as shown in the below image).

• Enter app name and click on 'Create' button.

• After that, Gmail will generate the App Password, which will be displayed only once. The user should copy this password and save it for future use.

• Now, the user needs to enter the generated App Password (without spaces) here instead of the Gmail password and press 'Enter' key.

• Thereafter, the software will start transferring the backup file to the Gmail ID.
