Process To Print Any Command By DBF Command In Marg Software

In Marg Software, if add any command in bill format and it does not work, then the user can also print the command by using DBF commands.

Suppose Grand Total is not printing.

PROCESS TO VIEW DATABASE (DBF) FILE DATA IN MARG SOFTWARE

Firstly the user needs to find out in which database file bills data is saved.

In our case, Bill's data is saved in 'MDIS' File, now after that the user will check the column name that contains the Grand Total Value in the MDIS File.

• Go to Masters > Marg Setups > Advance Features > Self Designed Reports.

• A 'Report Self Development' window will appear.
• In 'Report' option, the user will mention the report name as per the requirement.
• Suppose mention 'G'.

• Now the user will mention the description as per the requirement.
• Suppose mention 'Grand Total'.

• The user will click on 'Open Program'.

• A 'Set Your Commands' window will appear.
• The user will mention the command.

• BROWS

• In case, while running this command software hangs or takes time to load data then the user can use the below command.
• SELE MDIS
• SET FILT TO VCN='A000015'
• BROWS

• Here, the user will mention any particular bill number as per the requirement, so that only single bill MDIS data will open and the software will not hang.

• Suppose in our case skip the bill number filter command and press 'Ctrl+W' key.

• Now the user will click on 'Run command'.

• The user can view MDIS data will get opened.

• Now the user has to check the column name that contains the Grand Total Value.
• The user can view Grand Total Value in 'Final' column.
• Thereafter, Exit from here.

PROCESS TO PRINT ANY COMMAND BY DBF COMMAND IN MARG SOFTWARE

• Go to Masters > Marg Setups > Self Format.

• A 'Self Format' window will appear. The user will now enter the password.

• A 'Formats' window will appear.

• The user will select 'Invoice Format- GUI'. 

• An 'Invoice Format- GUI' window will appear.

• In ‘Format’ field, enter the name of the format.

• Suppose enter 'AC'.

• The user will now select ‘Bill Format’.

• A 'Bill Format GUI- AC' window will appear.

• The user will select ‘Grand Total’.

• The user can view the Grand Total command.

• Select the command and press 'F1' key.

• The user will search ‘MDIS’ under Description.

• Now the user will select the command of '###N' and press 'Enter' key on it.

• The user will paste this command by pressing 'F3' key.

• The user will remove the 'Cash' from the command.

• Now the user will mention the column name in which the Grand Total was mentioned in the MDIS database File.
• Suppose mention 'Final'.

• Now press 'Ctrl+W' key and click on 'Save' to save the changes.

After following the above steps, the user can Print Any command by DBF command in Marg Software.
