In Marg ERP Software user easily can import the item wise HSN Code through excel which helps you to update or changed HSN code of the multiple items in the software at once.

This option saves your lot of time to update HSN in all the items of that particular code:

Suppose, HSN code of item 'Amlogard 10 Mg' has been changed from '12345678' to '87656754' and there are many items whose HSN got changes and need to update it in the software as well.

• So that, we've prepared Excel sheet of the updated HSN of the items.

In order to know the process follow the given steps:

• Firstly,Go to Masters >> Ease of GST >> Import HSN/GST%/RATE from Excel

• An item Mapping window will appear.

• Click on Directory.

• Then the directory will get opened and select the location where you've saved your excel of the updated HSNs.

• Now click on OK.

• Now all the files of the selected location will get displayed.

• Now select the Excel file which needs to be imported.

• Then click on 'Select'.

• Here, the user can preview the list of items which are to be  imported in the Software.

• Then press ESC key for the further process.

• Then Define Excel Column window will appear.

a. Record from: Software will automatically pick the column from which the data in the excel sheet is being started.

b. Item Name: Now mention the Column from which the 'Name of the item' has been started.

Suppose, mention 'D'

• As you can view 'Item Name' is being started from the column 'D' in the excel sheet.

c. HSN Code: Now mention the Column from which the 'HSN code of the item' has been started.

Suppose, mention 'E'

• As you can view 'HSN Code' is being started from the column 'E' in the excel sheet.

Similarly, mention all the required details according to your Excel sheet.

d. Items 1-All 2-Unmatched: If the user needs to view all the items then select “1” or to view only Unmatched items select “2”.

e. Update Item Tax Master: To import HSN Code, set this option to“No”. In order to import GST Tax also on items, set this option to “Yes”. 

Then click on 'Update'.

• Now on Item Mapping window, you need to map the items by pressing Enter key.

Note : If the item has not been created in the software then press (+) key to create at the time of importing the data.

• Now, the user needs to select the that item which needs to be mapped with the excel sheet.

• Similarly, you can map all the items mentioned in the Excel with the items created in the software.

•  After the process of mapping, press “Escape” key for the further process.

• Now press 'Yes' to save the changes.

• Therefore, software will show confirmation alert that the details has been 'Updated successfully'.

Now you can view that the HSN of the item has been updated successfully in the software.
