Process of ERP Bridger-Export in Marg ERP Software

OVERVIEW/INTRODUCTION TO ERP BRIDGER IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE  

ERP Bridger is a tool developed by Marg and this tool can be used in import and export of data.

The user can easily import data from other software to Marg if that software has a provision of data export.

In Marg Software, the user can export or import data in 4 formats i.e. XLS, CSV, DBF and XML.

ERP Bridger is very useful to the ones who need to transfer their data from one software to another for accounting purposes, inventory purposes etc.

The user can also import vouchers like receipt voucher, payment voucher etc through excel file to Marg.

Anyone using multiple software can easily see the consolidated outstanding of any particular customer.

PROCESS OF ERP BRIDGER-EXPORT IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE  

Firstly, Go to Masters > MARG Setups > Advanced Features > ERP Bridger-Export. Press Enter.

A Marg ERP 9+ to ERP window will appear.The user will now select ‘Method’.

A Marg ERP 9+ to ERP Method window will appear.

In the Name field, the user will enter the name for this method. Suppose, enter ‘SALESE’.

An alert window will appear ‘Not found. Want to create’, the user will click on ‘Yes’.

Then, the user can give the description for this method. Suppose, enter ‘EXPORT’.

In Default Type, the user will select the type for this method from the drop down.Suppose, select ‘7 Sale’.

In the excel sheet that the user wants to export, if the user wants that the data to start from line 2. Then, in ‘Data from line’, the user will enter ‘2’.

Now in ‘Export Challan’, the user will select how to export the challan as from the dropdown. Suppose, select ‘Invoice’.

In ‘Heading’ if the user wants to export heading then press enter on ‘Yes’.

In ‘My Field’, the user can also create any other fields as per their requirement.

Press Enter to save.

Then, Marg ERP 9+ to ERP window will appear.

The user will select ‘Sale/GST Outward’.

Now keep pressing down arrow key (↓) and then click on ‘Ok’ to save.

An Export Method window will appear. Press Enter.

A Font Variables window will appear.

The user will now search the heading to export in the Excel sheet. Suppose, select ‘Bill Number’.

‘Sno.’ will be automatically defined in the software. The user can also change it as per the requirement.

Then in ‘Field Name’ the user will enter the field name as per the requirement. Suppose, enter ‘Invoice’.

‘Type’ will be automatically defined in the software. Press Enter.

‘Logic’ will also be automatically defined in the software. Press Enter.

‘Length’ will also be automatically defined in the software. Press Enter.

Again, press Enter.

Similarly, the user will export all the other headings as per the requirement.

Now press Escape key and come to the main window.

The user will now go to Transactions > ERP Bridger > Export. Press Enter.

An Export window will appear.

In ‘ERP Format’ the user can now view that the method that was created is displayed here. Now select that method i.e. ‘SALESE-Export’

Then in ‘Type’ the user will select the type ‘Invoice’ as previously selected.

In ‘From Date’ the user will enter the date from when to export the data.

Suppose, enter ’01-04-18’.

In ‘To Date’ the user will enter the date till when to export the data.

Suppose, enter ’01-04-18’.

Now in ‘Export File’, the user will enter the path where to export the file.

Suppose, enter ‘F:Salesexport’.

The user will now click on ‘Ok’.

Export process will get started.

A pop up will appear ‘MARG ERP 9+to ERP export save in file F:/SALESEXPORT’.

The user can now view that the excel file ‘salesexport’ is saved in the location specified.
