How to fix an alert of ' Shifted in Split Database want it Back ' which appears while Modifying any Transaction in Marg Software ?

In Marg Software, if at the time of modifying any transaction the software shows an alert of 'Shifted to split database, want it back', then this issue can be resolved.

In order to resolve Shifted to split database, want it back, the user needs to follow the below steps:

  • Go to Reports > Management Reports > Utilities > Misc. Utilities > Un-Lock Transaction Data.

  • An alert of 'Please Take Backup Before Running This Utility' window will appear.
  • The user will select 'Yes'.

A 'Lock Transaction Data' window will appear.

a. Data in Lock Database #1: The software auto-saves the data in Database #1 (Max data size is 2 GB).

b. Data in Lock Database #2: If the data exceeds 2 GB then the software will save data in database #2.

  • In 'Lock Data Shift In' option, the user will select Database #1/Database #2 which needs to be unlocked as per the requirement.
  • Suppose select 'Database #1'.

  • In 'Un-Lock Data From, the user will mention the date from which data needs to be unlocked.
  • Suppose mention '01-04-2023'.

  • Now the user will type 'SHIFT MY DATA IN UN-LOCK DATABASE' and press 'Enter' key.

  • An alert of 'DATA shifted in Un-Lock Database Successfully!' window will appear.
  • The user will click on 'Ok'.

After following the above steps, the user can 'Shifted in Split Database want it Back' will get resolved while Modifying any Transaction in Marg Software.
