In order to know the process the user needs to follow the below mentioned steps:

Note: Before recovering the file Take Financial Year Backup.

• Firstly, the user will 'Right Click' on Marg Icon created on the Desktop and click on ‘Open File Location'

• The user will search the 'Data' folder and open it.

• The user will search 'glmonth' file.

• Now, the user will rename the file.
• Suppose mention 'OLD' after the 'glmonth.a01OLD' in a file name (as shown in the below image)

• The user will click on 'Yes'.

• In order to recover the file the user needs to run the software again so right Click on Marg Icon and click on ‘Run as administrator’

• Press 'Esc' key on list of Company window.

• Click on 'Yes' button.

• Click on 'Backup' button.

• The user will select the Company with the extension of the financial year in which the user needs to recover data.
• Suppose select 'Marg Mart - 45DPHARMA' and press 'Enter' key.

Note: The user will Press 'Spacebar' key or Plus '+' key to select a particular Company or Press Asterisk '*' key to select all companies. 

A 'Marg' window will appear where the user can view the path of the backup wherever the Backups are saved.

a. Self backup Path: If the user takes the backup manually, that path can be mentioned in this field to recover data from that backup.

b. Server Backup Path: The user will define the path where the server backup is saved, otherwise software will auto-pick the path.

c. Carbon Copy Path: The user will define the path where the Imp backup is saved, otherwise software will auto-pick the path.

d. Server Backup: The user will define the path where the server backup is saved, otherwise software will auto-pick the path.

e. Protected Backup: The software auto takes 2 hidden backups, the user will select 1st/2nd as per the requirement.

Press 'Enter' key.

• The user will select the backup file up to which date the software data was correct based on file Size/Date/Time.
• Suppose select the backup of 08-08-2025, 15:47:24 time and press 'Enter' key.

An 'Attention Please' window will appear.

a. File Name: The Name of the recovering File will be shown here i.e. 'GLEDGER'. 

b. Files Reload: It will ask to reload the file with two options:

• Only This: With the help of this option, only the file that is corrupted will be recovered
• All Files: With the help of this option, all the files will reload from the selected backup.

Suppose select 'Only this'.

• Now, the user will type 'SURE' and press 'Enter' key.

After following the above steps, the user can view that the Glmonth file is recovered in Marg ERP Software.
