How to upload Backup of Financial Year on google drive in Marg Software ?

Marg ERP has developed a new option 'Backup on Google Drive' through which you can also save the backup of the financial year on Google Drive.

  • Go to List of Companies > Press Enter or F8 key on the selected company.

  • Selected  Company window will appear.
  • The user will select 'Backup of financial Year'. Press Enter.

  • The user will select that financial year of which the user needs to take the backup. 

  • A 'Manual Back Transfer to' window will appear.
  • Now the software will automatically pick the path of the back where the user have taken the backup previously, however if user needs to change the path of the backup then simply user needs to press F10 key on it.
  • In 'Cloud Backup Google drive', the user will select 'Yes/Change'.
  1. Select 'Yes', If user wants to upload the financial year backup on the google drive and the defined path is suitable for the backup.
  2.  Select 'Change', If user wants to change the path where the backup needs to be taken and then user can easily change the backup path as per the requirement.
  • Suppose, select 'Change'.

  • After selecting 'Change' , a drop down will appear in which the user will select 'Google Drive/OneDrive' as per the requirement.
  • Suppose, select 'Google Drive'.

  • Now the 'Backup path for the google drive' will get displayed and if user needs to change it then it can be done easily.

Note: When the google drive backup is being done at the first in the software then user needs to create the Folder of 'Google Drive' on the defined location.

  • For instance we have select 'C:\Users\lakshay\Google Drive' for the backup, therefore we have to create the folder of 'Google Drive' in defined location as shown in the below image.

  • In Next window, the cursor will again move on to the 'Cloud Backup Google Drive' in which the software will automatically pick the option as 'Yes'. 

  • Thereafter the software will start 'Transferring the data files' to the defined location.

  • Then a Marg ERP alert of 'Cloud Drive is not SET, Want to set?' will appear.
  • The user will select 'Yes' to configure the backup in google drive.

Note: This window will only appear when the configuration of financial year backup on google drive is being done at the first time in the software.

  • Now a 'Backup on Cloud' window will appear.
  • The user will click on 'Connect'.

  • Then the user will redirect to the Gmail account where the user needs to choose that gmail account which needs to connected with the google drive for the backup.

  • Thereafter the user needs to feed the password of the selected gmail account.

  • Now the gmail will ask for the permission for 'Backup on Google Drive'.
  • The user will select, 'Allow'.

  • Once the process is being done , an alert of 'Google Permission Allowed' will display to confirm the request of 'Backup on Google Drive'.

  • Thereafter the user need to get switch over to the software where the user will press 'Page Down' key.

  • Thereafter the user can view that the data files is being transferring to the cloud.

  • Then software will show the indication of 'Cloud Drive Backup Successfully' 

  • Now the user can view that the backup of financial year has been sent to the verified google drive and the folder created in the external drive as shown in Fig1.1 and Fig1.2.
