Process to Take Backup of Data on FTP in Marg ERP Software

OVERVIEW/INTRODUCTION TO TAKE BACKUP OF DATA ON FTP IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

• FTP is basically a protocol through which the internet users can easily upload/transfer their respective files and the data with the help of computer. i.e. the data can be stored online. The users can easily upload the software data backup on Web Server.

• Some Benefits of taking the backup of data on FTP are as follows:

         1. Provides online backup storage.

         2. Complete security of user's data.

         3. Faster file transfer 

         4. Ease of access of data from anywhere and anytime.

         5. No threat of backup files lost, corrupted of crashed.

PROCESS TO TAKE BACKUP OF DATA ON FTP IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

• Go to List of Companies > Press 'Enter' key or 'F8' key on the selected company.

• The user will select 'Backup of Financial Year' from the list. Press 'Enter' key.

• The user will select that financial year of which the user needs to take the backup. Press 'Enter' key.

• A 'Manual Back Transfer to' window will appear.

• In 'FTP Backup' option, the user will select 'Change'. 

• Then the user will keep pressing 'Enter' key on this window.

The user need to switch off or configure the firewall and antivirus installed in the system before proceeding with the manual or server FTP backup as many times these programs restrict to upload data.

The 'FTP Detail' window will appear with some fields:

1. FTP/Website: Enter the FTP Location or the Website address.

2. User ID: Enter the User Id of the user.

3. Password: Enter the Password.

Then press 'Enter' key on it.

• Again press 'Enter' key.

The process of uploading the data starts. An alert message box with a confirmation message will appear 'Backup upload on Net Successfully!' it means data has been successfully uploaded on net.

Then click on 'Ok'.
