OVERVIEW AND BENEFITS OF LAND COST IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

Land Cost are basically those expenses which are being additionally applied at the time of purchasing products i.e. shipping charges, packing charges, etc.

In Marg ERP Software, Land Cost option enables to increase the costing, reduces errors and saves time.

Land Cost is used at the time of purchase of products and has no effect on the bill value.

PROCESS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF LAND COST IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

Firstly, Go to Masters >> Marg Setups >> Control Room. Press Enter.

Search “Land Cost”>>Click on “Accept”.

A window of Land Cost will get displayed with different options. Here, the user will set this option “Land Cost B-All, Y-Purchase Bill, E-Per entry, P-Payment Receipt: A-Claim, C/c-Cash Ret”:

If the user selects “B” then LAND COST feature will be shown in all the entries.

If the user selects “Y” then it will be shown only in Purchase Bill and

If the user selects “E” then software will ask for land cost at the time of doing each entry.

Now, suppose, the user will select “Y” for the purchase bill then Save the changes by pressing Escape key.

PROCESS TO APPLY LAND COST ONLY ON PURCHASE BILL(Y) IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

Let’s generate a Purchase Bill. Go to Transactions>>Purchase>>Bill.

Press “Enter Key”>>Select the Ledger>>Enter the Party Number.

Select an “Item”>>Select the “Batch” of whose item the user is purchasing>>Then Enter the “Quantity” and>>Enter the “Purchase Rate”.  

Like, the user has purchased 10 quantities with the cost of Rs.100.

Similarly, the user purchases the second item of 5 quantities with the cost of Rs. 100.

At the time of saving the bill, the software asks about the Land cost.

Suppose, the user enters 100 i.e. the effect which has occurred on the costing after adding both the items is Rs.100. In simple terms, the extra cost on both these items is Rs. 100.

Also, this will only affect the costing and not its Bill Value.

Now, Save the bill and the user can view that there is no effect on the bill value and the Bill value remains the same.

Now, if the user needs to view the Total Cost of the Products which is being purchased then go toMasters>>lnventory Master>>Item Master.

Select the Item>>Press F4 function key.

Select “Batch Detail”and then select that batch of whose item’s cost needs to be viewed. The user can view down the Total Cost is 106.67.

And similarly, the user can view the Batch Detail of the second item i.e. the Total Cost of second item is 106.67.

So, the user needs to enter only once the total expenses which has been occurred on the purchase of any number of products on the whole bill and the software will automatically calculate its costing.

So, in this way the user can apply Land Cost on the whole bill at one go.

PROCESS TO APPLY lAND COST ON PER ENTRY (E) IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

Go to Masters>>Marg Setups>>Control Room and suppose the user now selects “E” forper entry then “Save” it.

Now, let’s generate a Purchase Bill. Go to Transactions>>Purchase>>Bill.

Select the Ledger>>Then Enter the Party Number then>>Select an Item.

Enter the Quantity>>Enter the Purchase Rate.

Then press F2 on Purchase Rate and a pop-up window will be displayed in which the user will enter the Land Cost for this particular item i.e. the extra cost applied on this particular item that will be entered here.

Suppose, the user enters 20 here as Land Cost. The Land cost which will be entered that will be calculated for this product only.

Similarly, select second item and enter Land Cost i.e. 100. So, in this way the user can apply Land Cost on each product/item i.e. at the time of each and every entry.

Now, Save the bill.The user can view that Land Cost is shown as 120 here i.e. Land Cost entered for first item was 20 and second item was 100. So, software has calculated the total cost of both. Press enter key and Save it.

PROCESS TO DISABLE ONE LAND COST OPTION IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

As the user had seen that at the time of generating purchase bill two options for Land Cost is shown. So, in order to disable the second Land Cost option; go to Masters>>Marg Setups>>Control Room.

Now, an option will be shown“Land cost 2^nd A for All, B for Purchase Bill and X for No” i.e. if the user needs to keep second option of land cost activated in all the bills, then select A, if need to activate in purchase bill only then select B and if need to disable it then select X for No.

Suppose, the user selects“X”and>>Save the changes.

Now, let’sgenerate purchase bill. The user can view that the second option of land cost is not displayed here.

So, in this way, the user can activate or deactivate the second option of Land cost as per their requirement.
