How to set Tax should not add in item cost ?
Overview: In Marg ERP software, item cost can be generated by the software itself by adding percentage of tax in it.
Suppose: We have purchased an item of Rs 100 and that item lies under 12% of GST then software will auto generate the cost by Rs 112, i.e.(Purchase Rate + 12 % of GST).
But if user does not want to add tax % in item's cost then this can also be done by following the given steps:
- Firstly, Go to Masters >> Marg Setups >> Control Room. Press Enter.
- A Control Room window will appear.
- The user will select ‘Search in all’. Press Enter.
- A Controls window will appear in which the user will Search “Input Cost”.
- Now click on ‘Accept’.
- An Input Cost window will appear.
- In 'If Y/G in Gst Credit Purchase COST OF ITEM = ITEM COST + INPUT GST', the user will select 'N'.
- The user will now press Esc key twice.
- Now click on ‘Yes’ to save changes.
After following the above steps software will generate cost of the item only on purchase rate, it does not include tax amount in it.
