If the sequence of items that has been loaded from the challan into bill got changed then how to resolve it in Marg Software ?

  • Suppose we are creating challan of 'Ahuja Medicine Centre' of item 'Amifru 40'.

  • As the user can view that we are loading the challan into sale bill.

  • Thereafter the user can view that after saving the sale bill, the software will re-index the items loaded in the bill and will place the item (that has been loaded from the challan) at bottom.
  • Also, if the user needs to disable this re-indexing of items then this can easily be done in Marg Software:

In order to set Item Sequence, the user needs to follow the given steps:

  • Go to Masters > Marg Setups > Control Room.


  • A 'Control Room' window will appear.
  • The user will select ‘Search in all’. Press Enter.

  • A 'Controls' window will appear in which the user will Search “Index”.
  • Now click on ‘Accept’.

  • An 'Index' window will appear.
  • In 'Index ISSUE BILLS' option, the user will select 'N'.

  • The user will now press 'ESC' key twice.

  • Now click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.

After following the above steps, the Items sequence will not change while converting the challan into bill in Marg Software.
