Process to Take IMP Backup in Marg ERP Software

OVERVIEW/INTRODUCTION TO TAKE IMP BACKUP IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

IMP Backup option enables to take the backup of Multiple Companies and Multiple Financial Years at a time along with restoring of the backup of Multiple Companies.

PROCESS TO TAKE IMP BACKUP IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

• In order to take IMP Backup, firstly press 'ESC' Key in the List of Companies window & then select 'Yes' in the Exit window.

A 'Marg Backup' window will appear with three options at the bottom namely ‘Backup’, ‘Change’ & ‘Exit’.

1. Backup: Select to take Backup.

2. Change: Select 'Change' to modify/change the path of the carbon copy directory where the user can save the company’s IMP backup.

3. Exit: Select 'Exit' to exit the software

IMPORTANT***Don’t take Backup in that particular drive where Marg is already being installed as if any problem is being occurred in that drive and if the user tries to correct it then the backup which is being taken will get lost. So, save the backup in another drive. 

• Suppose click on 'Backup' button in order to take backup.

• Then all the companies will appear along with the financial year.

• Press 'Space Bar' key to select the company. Press 'Enter' key.

Note: Press '*' key in order to select all the companies or press '-' (Minus) key to unselect a particular company.

• Thereafter the software will start transfer the backup file to selected the location.
