In Marg ERP Software, the user can apply a 40% tax rate particularly for luxury items as per the business requirement. By setting this rate, the software will automatically calculate and add 40% GST on the selected luxury products at the time of billing. This ensures accurate tax compliance and proper invoicing for high-value luxury items.

Process to Enable 40% Tax in Marg ERP Software

  • Go to Master > Marg Setup > Control Room. 

  • The user will select the 'Search in All' option.

  • The user will search 'GST' and click on the 'Accept' button.

  • In '6th %' option, the user will enter '40% tax'.

  • Press 'Esc' key.

  • Click on 'Yes' button.

Process to Apply 40% Tax on Bill in Marg ERP Software

  • Go to Transactions > Sale > Bill.

  • The user will enter the date as per the requirement.
  • Suppose enter '31-03-2025'.

  • The user will select the party as per the requirement.
  • Suppose select 'Ahuja Medicine trader' and press 'Enter' key.

  • Press 'Enter' key to select the item.

  • The user will pick the item and select 40% tax in the HSN field of the item master for sale.
  • Suppose select 'Luxury watch'.

  • Press 'Ctrl+W' key.

  • Click on 'Save' button.

  • Now, the user will press 'F8' key to view the bill posting.

After following the above steps, the user can view 40% tax will be calculated on the selected item in Marg ERP Software.
