How to calculated CESS on the Tax amount in Marg software ?

In Marg ERP software, the user can easily set calculation of CESS on different basis i.e. Rate*Qty, Total Amount, Gross, Tax etc. according to their requirement.

In order to set Cess calculation on Tax amount, the user will follow the below steps:

  • Firstly, Go to Masters > Marg Setups > Control Room. Press Enter.


  • A Control Room window will appear.
  • The user will select ‘Search in all’. Press Enter.

  • A Controls window will appear in which the user will Search “Calculate Cess”.
  • Click on ‘Accept’.

  • A Calculate Cess window will appear.
  • In 'Sales : Calculate on A-Tax/B-Rate*Qty/C-Total/D-Gross/Q-Qty' option, the user will select 'A'.

  • The user will now press Esc key twice.

  • Then click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.

After following the above steps, the Cess will get calculated on the Tax amount of bill.
