How to set Software should auto generate barcode in blank barcode field in Item Master in Marg Software?
In Marg Software, the user can easily auto generate the barcode in the items in which barcode field is blank.
In order to know the process, the user needs to follow the below steps:
- Firstly, Go to Masters >> Marg Setups >> Control Room.
- A 'Control Room' window will appear.
- The user will select ‘Search in all’.
- A 'Controls' window will appear in which the user will Search 'Barcode'.
- Now click on ‘Accept’.
- A 'Barcode' window will appear. Press 'PageDown' key.
- In 'Generate Batch BarCode Number on' option, the user will select 'Y'. Press 'PageDown' key.
- In 'Last Barcode No.', the user will mention the last barcode number as per the requirement.
- Suppose mention '102022'
- The user will now press 'ESC' key twice.
- Now click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.
- The user will Run Structure Verification.
- Go to Reports > Management Report > Utilities > Multi Editing > Item Master Multi Editing.

- An 'Item Master Multi Editing' window will appear.
- In 'Stock As On' feed the date upto which the user needs to view items and select other filter as per requirement.
- Then click on 'Accept'.
- A 'Closing Stock' window will appear. Press 'Enter' key then select 'All Items'.
- An 'Item Master Multi Editing' window will appear.
- In 'Generate Barcode Y-Blank A-All', the user will select 'Yes'.
- The user will mention last barcode number.
- Suppose mention '102022'.
- Then type 'SURE' and press 'Enter' key .
After following the above steps, the barcode will get generated in blank barcode field in Item.
