Introduction of Category wise Discount in Marg ERP Software

• In Marg ERP Software, the Category Wise Discount feature allows the user to define discounts based on specific item categories. This helps in applying uniform discounts to grouped items, simplifies billing, enhances promotional strategies, improves inventory control, and ensures accurate and efficient discount management across various product categories.

Process to Set Category wise Discount in Marg ERP Software

• Go to Reports > Management Report > Utilities > Multi Editing > Item Master Multi Editing.

• In 'More Options', the user will select 'Yes'.

• In 'Selected Category' option, the user will select 'Yes'.

• The user will select the category as per the requirement and press 'Enter' key.

Note: The user can select particular category by pressing 'Spacebar' key or select all categories by pressing '*' key.

• Press 'Pagedown' key.

• Click on 'Accept' button.

• Press 'Enter' key.

• The user will select 'All Items'.

• In 'Item Discount %' option, the user will select 'Yes'.

• The user will enter the discount as per the requirement.
• Suppose mention '10'.

• Now, the user will type 'Sure' and press 'Enter' key.

After following the above steps, the user can view the selected category-wise discount will be applied in Marg ERP Software.
