• Go to Masters > Opening Balances > Stock Openings.

• A 'Stock Opening' window will appear.

• In  'More Option', the user will select 'Yes'.

• A 'More Options for Stock Opening' window will appear.

• In 'Selected Category' field, the user will select 'Yes'.

• Then a 'Category' window will appear in which the user will select category as per the requirement.

Note : Multiple Categories can be selected by Asterisk Key (*) and single can be selected by space bar key or plus (+) key.

• Suppose select 'Thyroid Medicine'. Press 'Enter'.

• Press 'Page Down' key.

• Then click on 'Accept'.

• An 'Opening Stock as on' window will appear.

• Select the item and press 'Enter' key on it.

• In next window all the batches of selected item will appear.

• The user will feed the opening stock as per the requirement then Press 'Enter'.

• After feeding the opening balance user needs to press 'Tab' key to save the details.

• A Save change window will appear in which the user will click on 'Yes' to save the details.

After following the above steps, the user can enter the category wise stock opening in Marg Software.
