Process of Printer Setup in Marg ERP Software

OVERVIEW OF MACHINE WISE PRINTER SETUP

• Usually, multi-billing is being done and the employees have different shift timings like in FMCG stores. The user needs to change the printer settings again and again whenever they login with the given Marg User ID in another PC.

• So, if the user does not require to change the printer settings again and again then there is a very beneficial and a time saving feature which can be used i.e. Machine Wise Printer Setup.

• With the help of this advanced feature, Marg Software automatically loads the default printer settings of the PC in Marg User ID.

• If the user logins with any User then there will be no requirement to change the printer settings i.e. no need to update the settings of the printer from DMP to Laser once the Machine wise setup is completed as the default settings of the PC will automatically get loaded in Marg ERP Software.

ILLUSTRATION OF MACHINE WISE PRINTER SETUP

• Suppose, there is one user named Mike who uses PC 1 and has Marg User id as Marg-001which is attached with a laser printer settings.

• There is another user named Harry who uses PC 2 and has Marg User ID as Marg-002 which is attached with a DMP Printer settings.

• Now some technical issue occurs in Mike’s PC 1 so he uses PC 2 which has a DMP Printer attached to it. Mike will now login with his own user ID-001. After logging, the settings and powers which is being set according to that user ID in Marg Software will get loaded.

• If Mike gives the print command then print will not happen as the laser printer settings is being set in Mike’s User ID and DMP Printer is attached in PC 2. So, in this case there is a mismatch between Marg and Printer settings of PC and print will not appear.

• Mike needs to change the settings of Printer from Laser to DMP in User ID-001 in order to take a print out.

• Then there will the requirement to update the settings of the printer from DMP to Laser when Mike uses his own PC 1 due to which a lot of time is consumed.

• So, with the help of this advanced feature; Marg ERP Software automatically loads the default printer settings of the PC in Marg User ID. 

PROCESS OF PRINTER SETUP IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE

• Go to Masters >> Passwords & Powers >> Update Operator’s Powers.

• Select the operator for which settings needs to be done. 

• Select 'Search in All' option.

• A 'Powers' window will appear. Search for 'Print'.

•  Then click on 'Accept'.

• A 'Print' window will appear with different options where the user will specify that which type of settings is required for that particular operator i.e. Operator Wise or Machine wise.

• Suppose select 'Machine Wise Printer' .

• • The user will now press 'ESC' key.

  • • Again press 'ESC' key and then click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.

    

• A 'Powers Change' POP-UP will appear in which the user will press 'ESC' key.

• Again Press 'ESC' key and then click on ‘Yes’.
