How to increase length of the Sale and Purchase Bill Number in Marg Software ?

With the help of Marg ERP software, the user can increase the character of the bill number upto 16 character. 

In order to increase the length of bill number, the user needs to follow the below steps:

  • Firstly, Go to Masters >> Marg Setups >> Control Room.


  • A 'Control Room' window will appear.
  • The user will select ‘Search in all’.

  • A 'Controls' window will appear in which the user will Search 'Entry Number'.
  • Now click on ‘Accept’.

  • An 'Entry Number' window will appear.
  • In 'Entry number required on Y-Purchase/Receive N-No W-All' option, the user will select 'W'.

  • The user will now press 'ESC' key twice.

  • Now click on ‘Yes’ to save the changes.

After following the above steps, a 'Party Number' field will get enabled in Purchase and Sale bill in which the user can enter the Purchase/Sale bill number upto 16 character.
