OVERVIEW OF STOCK VALUATION IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE (PHARMA) 

  • Stock valuation means calculating the value of the closing stock.
  • In Marg ERP Software, with the use of Stock Valuation Report the user can view stock in hand and also the present value of the stock.
  • Stock valuation report is generated in 2 methods i.e. on average rate basis and the other is last rate basis. The user can choose to value their stock in both of these methods.

PROCESS OF STOCK VALUATION IN MARG ERP SOFTWARE (PHARMA) 

  • Go to Stocks > Stock Valuation.

  • A 'Store' window will appear. The user will select the store.
  • Suppose select ‘Whole’ .

  • A 'Stock Valuation' window will appear.
  • In ‘Stock as on’, the user will enter the date that till when the user wants to view the stock.

  • Now in ‘Selected company’ the user will choose whether to evaluate the stock company wise or not.
  • Suppose select ‘Yes’.

  • Now if selected ‘Yes’, a Select Company window will appear.
  • Press 'SpaceBar' key to select the companies.

  • In ‘Report Batch wise’, the user will select whether to view the report Batch wise or not.
  • Suppose select 'Yes'.

In ‘Stock Status’, the user will select option as per the requirement.

a. Whole: Select the option is needs to view report for the All stock weather the item have stock available or not.

b. Available:  Select the option is needs to view report only for the item who have stock available.

Suppose select ‘Whole’.

  • The ‘Selected Salt’,  is applicable for the users dealing in medicines and drugs.
  • The user will select option 'Yes' if needs to view report for selected Salt otherwise keep it as 'No.'
  • Suppose select 'Yes'.

  • A 'Salt' window will appear.
  • The user will press 'SpaceBar' key to select the Salt. Press 'Enter' key.

  • In ‘Valuation On’, the user can view that all the rates are available.
  • The user will select the rate as per the requirement to evaluate the stock.
  • Suppose select ‘Purchase rate’.

  • Now in ‘Valuation Base On’, the user will select the base to value the stock from the 2 methods i.e. Master basis or Average basis.
  • If an item has been purchased twice on different rates like Rs.100 and Rs.110, then using the ‘Average Basis’, the stock will be valued on Total Rate ÷ Number of purchases. Suppose, here 210÷ 2.
  • But, If the user selects ‘Master Basis’, then the stock will be valued on the rate in Master.

  • Now in ‘With tax’ the user will select whether to value the stock with tax or without tax.
  • Suppose select ‘No’.

  • If the user needs to enable 'More options' then select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ respectively.

  • Now click on ‘Accept’.

  • The user can now view that Stock Valuation as per selected date window is displayed.
  • To view the report in Excel, the user can click on Excel button below.

Note: The user can use 'Alt+P' key for more filtration.

After following the above steps, the user can view stock valuation report in Marg Software.

Ans.2

1. Go to Stocks > Stock Valuation.

2. A 'Stock Valuation' window will appear. The user will select option as per the requirement and Click on the 'Accept'.

3. A 'Stock Valuation' report will get generate.

4. The user will click on 'Cursor to Report' Icon (as shown in image).

5. A 'Marg Cursor to Report' window will appear.

6. The user can generate report in 'DBF/Text/ CSV/Excel' etc. as per the requirement.
