 **Important Notice**

1.  The new tax rate will be applicable from 22nd September 2025.

2.  The user needs to update the latest GST PFO.

3.  The user needs to take a backup of the financial year before updating the GST rate.

In order to update the GST tax rate, the user needs to follow the below steps:

  • Go to Gst > Gst Tax Rate.

  • Click on 'Yes' button.

  • In 'Change GST from' option, the user will enter the old tax rate that needs to be replaced with the new rate as per the requirement.
  • Suppose change 12% to 5%.

The user will select the below options as per the requirement.

a. No: The user will select 'No' if 'MRP' is not required to be changed.

b. Current tax Bases: The user will select 'Current Tax Bases' option if the user has not changed the Tax Rate previously and now wants to update the Tax Rate in Item and MRP on the basis of this New Tax Rate.

c. Old Tax Bases: The user will select 'Old Tax Bases' option to update MRP if the tax rate has already been changed by the user, but the MRP has not been updated in the item Master/Batch.

Suppose select 'Current tax Bases'.

  • In 'Replace MRP with MRP' option, the software will automatically pick the MRP calculation on the basis of difference in Current Tax Rate and previous Tax Rate.

  • Suppose the user has an item with the Name of 'Acnederm Lot' whose M.R.P is '100' with an Old Tax Rate of '12%' and New Tax Rate of '5%'

  • Therefore, the 'M.R.P' will calculate as '100/1.12 + 5% = 93.75'.

  • In 'GST Structure 18%' option, the user will follow the same steps as above for replacing 18% tax and keep pressing 'Enter' key.

  • In 'Shift Old MRP in' option, the user will select the rate where the old MRP is to be replaced.
  • Suppose select 'H-Rate'.

In 'Shift Mrp' option, the user will select the option as per the requirement.

a. All: The user will select 'All' if it is required to update the MRP of all items into H-Rate.

b. Only Efected: The user will select 'Only Effected' if it is required to update only those product MRPs that have changed and shift them into H-Rate.

Suppose select 'All'.

  • In 'Confirm' option, the user will type 'PLEASE CHANGE MY GST' and press 'Enter' key.

  • Click on 'Ok' button.

  • Click on 'Accept' button.

  • The user can view that 'Ease of GST Adoption' window will appear in which the user will change the Tax Rate manually for selected HSN as per the requirement.

After following the above steps, the user can view that the software will replace all old tax rates with the new tax rate for all items and the MRP / RateA will also get replaced in Marg ERP Software.
